'After the Rain'

 
 
The palette of this piece is inspired by the post rain mist that settles over a western coastline, pond or river.  There's an unexplainable feeling about how the warm sun filters through the air after a storm, creating intricate subtleties in every reflection and shadow.    
 
The inspiration for this artwork came from the natural process of painting itself, allowing the image to organically emerge from the brushstrokes, resulting in an abstract yet representational piece that allows you as the viewer to have your own unique perspective or story.
